We all love our guitars, but over years of use some parts just wear out. 

Common Guitar Problems

  1. String Buzz - Most string buzz problems are solved with a proper setup. Some other causes are worn or raised frets, worn nut, or a warped neck.

  2. High Action - Again, a proper setup is the usual cause, but may be caused by a loose neck joint at the body, or a warped top sound board.

  3. Low Action - One more time with the setup, enough said. Other causes may be a warped neck or broken saddle.

  4. No Output (Electric) - This one could be anything. From a bad pickup to a loose jack. Trouble shooting these problems takes a knowledge of electronics, with the skill to do a good solder job.

Prices are for labor only. Guitar Works will warranty all repairs for at least 30 days upon completion.
Basic Set-Up : Includes evaluation, restringing (strings extra), basic cleaning, recondition fret board, tighten hardware, adjust truss rod, set action as low as guitar allows, and calibrate the intonation.

Master Set-Up : Includes "basic set-up" plus, level, recrown, and polish frets, any labor to cover nut and saddle repair/replacement for lower action. Add $60
 
Extra's : In order to warranty your repair, Guitar Works, Inc. must have first done a basic or master set-up. If we have already set-up your guitar, these extra's are listed to keep your guitar playing well through temperature & humidity changes, as well as normal wear and tear.

Electronics: Electronic repairs are to be done with a set-up if strings have to be removed. If you have all ready had your guitar set-up by us, minor repairs may be done. Here are general prices for most electronic troubles. The install of new electronics will be less as more items are installed.
 
 
  Basic Cleaning/Repair - $10-$20 Clean/tighten controls & switches, repair connections.    
  Replace Output Jack - $5-$15    (depending on guitar and jack style) 
  Replace Control or Switch - $10-$25 (depending on amount of installs)
  Electronic Modifications - $10-$50 (depending on the modification and controls)

  Electric Drop-in Acoustic Passive Acoustic Active W/ Complete Rewire
